Rhino 650 freezing up

hey all just bought a rhino 650 I've used it hiking a couple times and last weekend I was hiking and had it set to record track and show on map,and had the backlight to shut off in 30 seconds and the unit would freeze up on me and it did this about 4 times throughout the day I would have to remove the battery just to get it to work again. running software version 3.80. as I'm sitting here on the couch reading through these forms and typing this out it has frozen twice. is anybody else running into this problem or do I have a defective unit or is there a solution thanks for your time and your help
