Garmin connect and Endo both think my Edge unit is a 910XT

Hi

I recently uploaded files from a Garmin 910XT to Carmin Connect. Now when I connect my Garmin Edge, it doesn't get recognized - Garmin Connect thinks its a 910XT but can't get any data from it. The same happens using endomondo, wwhich suggests a driver issue to me. Any thoughts? NB I do not have the Garmin wireless USB device (for 910XT communication) inserted at this time.

    It sounds like the pairing information for the Edge is confused. If I were in your shoes, I'd...

    • Shut down the ANT Agent.
    • Open an Explorer Window (assuming windows here) to C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\AppData\GARMIN\Devices\<DEVICE> or C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\GARMIN\Devices (depending on your windows version).
    • Move each of the folders in that directory to some other directory (your desktop).
    • Start the ANT Agent.
    • Configure the ANT Agent to pair to devices.
    • Configure your Edge to enable pairing.
    • Pair the device.
    • Verify it works. If it doesn't, undo what you've done.
