VivoFit Heart Rate Monitor

I was able to use the vivofit heart rate monitor at home with no problems. At the gym however it seems to pick up other heart rate monitors. Has anyone had this issue? I am using the ANT+ by MOTOROLA in theory it should work and it does when not around other people. It was also very spotty at the gym I would get --- for a hear rate. - Very, Very Disappointed.
