Recently my Garmin Connect software has been adding time to my long workouts. For instance, yesterday ran 20.25 miles in 2:47:58. Download on Garmin Connect changed overall time to 2:51:43 and re-adjusted avg pace accordingly. It does this consistently on my long runs. Not sure what's going on here? Any help appreciated.
Yes! I have been having the same issue. I sent an email to Garmin yesterday about it when the site added 45 minutes to my run. The time is correct on my device (Forerunner 405CX). I also transfer my runs to Endomondo to share with some friends, and the time transfers correctly to that site. It looks like it is transferring the TOTAL time as the RUNNING time. So if I have to wait 5 minutes to get across the street and pause my watch, the site is not subtracting that time from the RUN time.
I did find this post, but it is from back in February (long time fix a web site issue):
On short runs, I can go in and edit the time, but some of my runs error out with a "site maintenance" page when I try to edit them. I will post back here if I hear anything back from Garmin. Glad to know it's not just me though!
Thanks! That makes sens, I stopped (and stopped device) at mile eight and ran into a gas station for a pit stop. That difference adds up. I neglected to post that I'm using he Garmin 410 device.
They have that sticky up there saying they know about, are working on it, and will post more when they have more info. That was almost 3 weeks ago now...must be an extremely complex issue...one they can not possibly go back and look at how they used to to do it right and just put that code back. Very annoying...
