I'm waiting patiently to be transitioned to the new GC site but saw the other day that the "New features" link was removed (left to the user name, top right corner). Still same old GC for me though so I'm wondering if they've run into problems and postponed the launch of the new version?
I hadn't noticed that until you pointed that out. So I went to check and indeed the new features link was removed. I noticed there has been so many complaints on the forums about inaccurate measures in the new GC. So maybe they've done a "reboot".
I signed on to Garmin Connect for the first time in a couple of weeks and I was taken to a new site in which I was asked for a password. I went through the process and it is trying to register me as a new user. Very frustrating.
I was on my Garmin Connect activities page just this morning and things were fine. This afternoon when I tried to go to the Activities page again, I was asked to choose a screen name & accept updated terms & conditions. Next I was taken to an Internal Server Error page. Now I'm (sort of) getting back into the site, but it's amazingly slow to load. speedtest.net says I'm getting 15Mbps down, 1Mbps up, which is typical for my cable modem here in Austin, TX, and other web sites seem fine, so I guess the problems must be at Garmin's web server.
I started composing this note while waiting for the Activities page to load. My Dashboard (not Activities) finally displayed after the speedtest completed, but I'm just now getting to my Activities page. Over five minutes for certain.
[EDIT - I tried to do a search within my own Activities & got bounced back to the same page where I was asked to choose a new display name and accept terms & conditions. Next I got another error, although it was framed in a normal-looking Garmin web page, not a big 404-type page. Tried again & got to Activities finally. Site is a little touchy today I guess. ]
[EDIT #2 - lol, tried to search & got another error. If it wasn't cold/rainy I'd get on the bike & work off my Garmin Connect frustrations ;) Here's the error fwiw -
Internal Server Error - Read The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Reference #3.613700cc.1394389674.9464c0a
so I guess the problems must be at Garmin's web server.
I was having slowness issues with the site earlier also, working okay now though.
As far as the update...other than the login page changing, the rest of the site has remained the same for me. Well other than the broke the timing, made a post about it that they were aware and would update said post, and then have done nothing.
