Personal Records don't upgrade new times and distances.

Hi guys…

I a new here!
I using a Etrex 30 for long trips; Nuvii 256 in my car (not really in use!); and a Forerunner 405 for run and bike (just by a few months ago!)

I use the Garmin Connect to mesure my activities, but some week ago some problens start.

The personal recordes don't upgrade my new times.

Normaly I use the Personal Records to look some run progress in 5, 10 and 21 kilometers time.
Last month I ran 15 km in 1:32 minutes. last week my time was 1:26 and this week 1:18... when i look the activities in detail I can see every week I has a better time. But the perdonal recordes dont upgrad this times.

I don't changed any setup. I wrote to garmin connect suport, but until now no answer.
Did I do something wrong?
Or something may be wrong because the website updates?

Please someone can help-me?

p.s.: Sorry about my english, it rusted!

    Hi Tassiofranchi,

    i´m encountering the same problem.
It may sound a litte awkward but i´m happy to see that i´m not alone with this issue.

It would be great if you could tell me something as soon as you get the answer from the support. I´m getting crazy with this situation.
Do you know, that it is possible to manually adjust the personal records?

It is a little waste of time but momentarily the only solution in my point of view. Unfortunately...

    Regards
    Marco
    • Open up the details view for your activity.
    • Near the top of the page you will see a row of icons; a pencil, critical sign, a lock, a star, and a medal.
    • Click the medal.
    • Choose the appropriate distance for your PR
    • Click Assign PR.

    Guys

    Thanks for contest me!

I still with the problem and without any answer of the support!
I have tried use the medal icon, but just work with you was stop the time exactly in 1, 5, 10, 21 or 42 kilometers (I using a metric sistem).

If you ran 15, 11 or 10.5 the medal icon will use the total time of your activitie.
It no longer split automatic the activitie.

I have tried adjust manually. But when I marked the medal in the activitie of 10.98 km, and try assign a new Personal Record for a 5km distance the program just show the full time (for 10.98).

In the past the program automatic split my activitie, showed in the personal records, and ask me if I want change or not.

Iike you I very frustring with this situation....

    best regards

This workaround does not solve the problem. The Dashboard (i)nfo for Personal Records states:
How does Connect determine a Personal Record?

Personal Records are created when you upload data that closely matches one of our predetermined distances, and it's the fastest time you've ever uploaded for that distance.

however this function clearly does not work.

Assigning PRs manually is, of course, a workaround, but then the issue should be solved or the feature removed/modified (e.g. manualy tell the system to search all activities for PRs).

Yeh, I was having this issue today. I ran a 10k, but PB'd my 5k on the way, and it doesnt recognise the PB since I didnt stop the watch at 5k. Seems silly. If it has to be entered manually for this then fine, but Id expect the system to be smart enough to cross reference the standard PB distances with each run, regardless of what distance it ended.

Its absurd really...It even states my longest run is 26km, yet says I have no PB for a half marathon!
