Just got my results of:
Body water, mass, muscle mass, etc...
I know there are there info in our Health option inside Analyze menu.
How can I type in this info?
Good point. As someone that works in IT I can say there shouldn't be any technical reason why this cannot be enabled, you just need to make sure there is some basic data validation at the point of entry to ensure that you don't get "junk" data entered that might mess up the underlying database tables. Such a validation would be really easy to implement. My assumption is that Garmin don't want to do this for some reason. A real shame as talking as someone that has a Tanita BC1000 at home I can say that some of the health data this device calculates is completely wrong. How do I know? Because I had my fat % professionally measured and the results was more than 5% lower than what the Tanita BC1000 was telling me. The ability to enter the correct, professionally calculated fat % would be of great benefit here....
Yes this is a real pain - I have a set of tanita scales but not the one that interfaces (as most of the reviews slate the accuracy of that particular scale not to mention it's exorbitant cost). I currently track these figures on a spreadsheet which annoys me :)
If you have an Android device you can use a program called "Weight Logger" to manually upload health data to Garmin Connect. Go to the Google play store and search for the Weight Logger app. It is free.
I have an android phone but typing in on that is a real pain - particularly as I have a certain amount of history (on spreadsheet) that I'd like to upload - does anyone know of a pc app that will do this?
There's a new app on the App Store that allows you to upload the full set of weight metrics back to Garmin Connect. It's called GarminHealth. http://www.dublin18.com/GarminHealth/
