uploading file in .tcx or .gpx format

I was tyring to export my activities from the Garming Training Center software and upload them to Garmin Connect but haven't been able to sucessfully do so. I've tried exporting both as .gpx files and as .tcx files and then upload to Connect via the manual import part of the Garmin connect interface. However, I get "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again" everytime I try. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Do i have to upload only one activity at a time? (I tried this also, but couldn't get it to work.)

    Hello Ben,

Can you attach a file that you have that will not upload to Connect so we can try to find out what went wrong or what might fix the file?

Same for YURIZOLI and anybody else.

This is mine, created Saturday with oregon 450.

    Any help will be appreciated

    Files

attached file - technically not quite the problem as GC was trying to upload all the activities but this is the current.gpx file and this would not upload manually either - and neither would a whole load of GPX files that are on my computer that have previously been uploaded to GC.
  • Same problem over here... It has become impossible to upload basecamp exports to garmin connect.

    TRAVIS.VITEK found a door.

It's rough, not integrated, only usable in manually mode.... but it works.

Note: After clicking "Submit" then click your Garmin Connect tab then switch from Dashboard to Analyze or vise/versa to bring in your GPX file.

I tried every conversion and fix that I know of and I could not get a single GPX file from Benmoffat or Fedorico to load directly into Connect.
Also....I have 2 accounts and tried unsuccessfully to load several GPX files into account "A" that has previously been loaded into account "B" and were still there and functioning.

Garmin Training Center loaded both GPX files from Benmoffat and Federico with no problem so the files are just fine.

Garmin Connect is definitely broken regarding the loading of new GPX files.
  • It works well. Thanks Datezz & Travis.vitek

This is one of mine from the Oregon 450, saved from Basecamp. The manual upload doesn't work for it, but I have now uploaded it using the rough work-around described above.

MATHIKRALLI: Thank you - the .fit file you created uploaded for me. However it appears all the free gpx to fit conversion software I tried creates a fit file that Connect will not accept for uploading.

DATEZZ: For your request for files that do not upload - see my post early in this thread. Also try getting Connect to download an existing track and then see if you can upload it again. I tried this in gpx format and the upload failed. I expect that means any gpx file downloaded from Connect will fail to upload. It is beyond belief that anyone can product a web site that is this badly broken.

YURIZOLI: Thank you for the travis.vitek link. It worked for me on one gpx file that was rejected by the regular Connect upload. Progress at last! (until Garmin finds out about it and kills it too)
  • Thanks, this works for me. It also keeps the temperature data.

Still a big shame on Garmin!

One forum friend found a door.
