I have "4" notifications but nothing's there????

Every time I log in to Garmin Connects, my notification (where the little envelope is) has a red 4. So I figure I have messages or something going on. I click on the red four, and then it comes up with...nothing. There's no messages, no nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bug in the system? I can't figure it out! Help!!!!
