Having trouble transferring data from 310xt to Connect

Hello,

I have had my Garmin for a few months now and only really started using it in the past 2 months. I have timed my workouts and then was able to transfer my workouts via ANT+ agent. With the change to the new Garmin Connect and ANT + agent being disabled, the first 2 or 3 times I have not had an issue with the data transferring. Today, my watch shows a message Transferring Data, but the past 2 workouts are not appearing on the dashboard. I have followed the instructions on the troubleshooting guide and everything is set up properly and I tried logging a 10 sec workout. Nothing is changing. Not sure what else to do?
  • I am also having this problem. have followed the online trouble shooting and searched other forums but nothing seems to help. the runs show up in the history on the 310xt and it says transferring data, but nothing shows up in Garmin Connect. Any advice would be good

Another one having trouble. When I try to upload data, an error message pops up: "Error Code 1444. Invalid threat identifier." Amongst other messages, mostly basic information. I tried restarting the computer and the watch, but with no success. Garmin, we could use some help!

I have the same issue. It would be great if someone at Garmin could assist us with a fix of some sort.
  • Hello,

Up to here, I experience the exact same behaviour. However, in my case, my watch crash an shutdown during the transfer. With patience, after serveral attempt, I manage to upload the training session data successfully. This is really annoying, and I'm considering returning to the Ant+ agent.

Automatic Transfer from my Garmin 310XT to my PC has been sketchy for the past few months. There is a "Transfer All" setting on the 310XT that may help. Press Mode and select History. Scroll UP once and select Transfer All. Then try your best to get the ANT Agent on your PC to connect to the 310XT, and transfer all of the data.

    Hope this helps.

I uploaded data from my 310XT to Connect for nearly a year now with no problems. For months I used ANT Agent software and I switched recently to Garmin Express which worked smoothly until today. After Express 3.0.9.0 failed to upload the data I also noticed that Express does now report Version 0.00 for the 310XT firmware. Previously it showed the correct version number 2.50.

It seems that Garmin is currently implementing some changes behind the scene which does now break the upload routine. It should be fixed asap, PLEASE!

Edit: I reanimated ANT Agent. After several attempts where ANT Agent crashed or reported, that the upload to Connect had failed for unknown reason, I finally was able to upload my today's workout.
  • In the last couple of weeks the Ant device is no longer finding my forerunner 310xt for uploading to Garmin Connect or Sport Tracks 3.0, not acceptable, could someone from Garmin please let us know what is happening.

310 folks...seems like this is all around. I'm a 910'er and we have a similar thread going on that portion of the forum. SERIOUSLY SUCKS!

I'm having this issue too. Every time I open Garmin Express, it detects the watch and says the sync is complete but when I open Garmin Connect, there is nothing there. My watch has the workouts saved in its history. It's very annoying as I only brought it last week so I could upload directly from the watch instead of having to rely on my phone when out running. Looks like I'll have to keep taking the phone out with me and just use Strava. At least it's reliable even if Connect gives you more analysis functionality - no point having more advanced functionality if you can't get the data in there to use it!!

I emailed Garmin and they've come back with this.... AND it's worked for me!

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe. I am happy to assist you with your enquiry.

If you want to send workouts, courses, settings (or any other data to your device):

Garmin Express does not yet support this functionality for the Classic view of Garmin Connect; we are working to add that functionality and expect a fix by the end of March.
Until that time, please use ANT Agent. Garmin Express and the ANT Agent cannot run at the same time so we recommend uninstalling Garmin Express.
Note: Customers with a Forerunner 405, 405cx, 410 or 305 are currently not compatible with Garmin Express. Please continue to use ANT Agent until your devices are supported (currently targeted for end of April).

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know. Alternatively you can search for a solution here: http://www.garmin.co.uk/support

    Kind regards,
