Issues with Time/Moving Time/Elapsed Time

Hi there,

I have seen the posts about issues on time on Garmin Connect but my issue is slightly different and wanted to highlight it. I ran a 5K parkrun today, the activity is here: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/453021379. Obviously, I did not stop at all, or touch any buttons during the run. The elapsed time is correct (verified by parkrun results) but time and moving time are incorrect. Any ideas why all three times are not exactly the same? I think they should be. I have auto-pause enabled, on the default speed (what ever that is) but if you look at the pace chart I shouldn't have gone slow enough for it to trigger. Seems like a bug to me

  • This faq describes the differences. There have been some issues recently relating to elapsed time, but you can expect the values to be different.

Essentially, Elapsed Time is the time from when you start the activity until you hold reset to save the activity. Time is the amount of time from when you start the activity until you stop the activity (or hold reset to save the activity), less the time that the patch is paused (auto-pause or manually press stop and start). Moving Time is Time less the amount of time that your device believes you are not moving.

It seems the only way all of these would be the same would be if you had a good GPS fix, started running, pressed start as you crossed the start line, then held down reset to save your activity without stopping or pressing stop/start during your activity.
