Auto-detect location > Metric or imperial

It would be great if Garmin Connect auto-detects the visitor's location and uses the corresponding measurements.

USA > imperial
non-USA > metric

Currently Garmin Connect seems to use imperial by default for non-registred visitors which is quite annoying for the majority of the world.

What about the UK? I reckon most people here are imperial (as our road signs are in miles). Saying that I'm metric, but I bet I'm in the minority.
