Mile splits?

Hi, sorry if been asked before, sorry if it does exist.

I cannot see my split times per mile. I can see them fine on endomondo, but not on here.

Do they exist or not? And if not can they be added, I like to see my individual mile times.

If your device isn't set to create laps (aka splits), GarminConnect currently won't add them.

It is setup for it, but only does laps, i.e pass the same point again or press a button.

And it does record them, because upload the gpx file (fit to garmin then extract) to another site and you get the mile splits.

Is the other site really reading the laps from the file or is it calculating them? You can easily see by switching between miles & km - if the lap markers don't move it's reading from the file, if they do, it's calculating them.

I guess it's calculating them, but same file for all sites I use, not a major issue.

So if you set your watch to auto-lap at <your choice of distance here> then GarminConnect will also display them.

Interesting.

Your suggestion worked fine.

Other websites must use the GPX file to calculate the mile splits and also the average speed etc. As when I uploaded a Turbo session yesterday, average speed etc is all on there. I exported and then loaded the gpx to other websites and no average speed, or distance travel or mile splits.
