Connect Calendar Sync No Longer Detecting My 620

Syncing of Calendar from Garmin Connect to 620 device has detected my 620 device consistently in the past - now, my device is no longer detected and I am unable to sync my calendar. The only change to my software setup has been the installation of the new Garmin Express software. I have no evidence other than the circumstantial timing but perhaps this has had some effect. Transferring the simple workouts still detects my 620. I am on Mac OSX.

This is a shame because the calendar sync is among the most convenient and distinguishing factors, in my opinion, of garmin connect and my device. I hope that this can be resolved relatively quickly - I do understand that major updates are in progress for garmin connect and perhaps certain features are falling victim to the migration.

Information, fixes, acknowledgement of the issue, etc... would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am having the same issues on my 220. I thought it was me/my device and so I have wasted too much time today trying to delete .FIT files and reset my device to factory settings. I also updated to Garmin Express and then tried to make some changes to my Training Calendar. Now I can't send any training plans.

Incidentally, before this I was having trouble sending updates to my personal settings (weight, HRZ), but now that works. Great. So I gain one function, but lose a more important one.
  • Yes this is a known issue. Our Garmin Connect team is aware of it and they are working on it. We did find that if you create a new workout from scratch and send it to the device from the workout creation page of Garmin Connect it works for most folks. We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing and we hope that the Garmin Connect team will have this issue fixed as soon as possible.

Wish I'd known before I plunked down my $400.
