Garmin Connect USB to Edge wont upload sticks on reading activities - works on other

My Garmin edge touring connected to Garmin connect shows up okay but when I click on upload the reading activities bar appears the blue line is al the way over and it just hangs there.

It does this for 2 units I've tried. it works okay on different (my friends PC) so the problem must be in the computer? I have tried IE and chrome and the results are the same.

cleared history and cache.
reinstalled communicator

Any help please

Sometimes a manual upload works when automatic uploads don't. Sometimes there is something in the file that Garmin seems to balk at, so posting the activity file in the forum for your device and asking someone to see if there is something that can be fixed in it might help.

I have the same problem. It's only started since I updated the firmware. I've cleared all activities off my Edge 500 but still won't upload new ones. I can copy the .fit file from the device and upload it manually but that's a pain when it's supposed to do it for you!
