overall average pace

Since I updated the new garmin software, my garmin will only tell me my average recorded pace on the actually garmin....on the website its taking my average pace as from the time I press record, until the final time I press stop... so if I have to quickly stop it to wait for traffic etc, the website is taking that time into consideration as part of my overall pace! It never did that before! For example.... I did speed reps with stopped recoveries. I stopped my garmin whilst I recovered... The garmin said my overall pace was 8.45 min miles but the website included the stopped times and said my average was 13 min miles!! Can anyone help fix this please???
I am having the same problem since updating my software last week. On my Garmin device everything is calculated ok but on Garmin connect the average pace is incorrect. A fix would be appreciated!
