Cadence graphs vanished and elevation correction?!!!

Garmin 800. Cadence data is recorded and average and max are visible in activities and the graph appears when I transfer to iPhone app but on main data page on garmin connect the cadence graph box is totally blank (not even any axes) as soon as I save or edit the data or try to disable elevation correction which now seems to be enabled by default and impossible to disable??!!. How do I disable it, on the device if possible? Driving me mad any help appreciated.

thanks

Mike

Garmin is transitioning to the new interface which is causing strange things like new map graphics but in the old interface, the loss of the cadence charts etc. I'm certain the data is still there but until you get the FULL new interface (they said it is rolling out over the next 14 days) there may be graphical glitches like the missing Cadence charts.
  • Thanks, so that suggests it's not something I've done! The elevation correction issue might be linked or just coincidence. Through Garmin connect I can no longer toggle between corrections enabled and disabled and as soon as I connect the 800 after a ride the elevation corrections is now on by default (which I am sure is a change) so there is a significant discrepancy between elevation gained on the 800 and on Garmin Connect.

My problems are unrelated to the new version of Garmin Connect because I have not upgraded yet. I have downloaded "Garmin Express" AFTER I noticed the problems so it's not that either. I am hoping that when the new Garmin Connect is available for download my problems will be solved....but I won't hold my breath!
  • Thanks Canyon. That gives me hope... I hope the elevation correction issue is part of the changeover as well.

    Thanks again

I've noticed that the total time for any uploaded activity is now always based on elapsed time... the moving time is the same as elapsed. The total summary of each split is also set to elapsed time and NOT the actual time you were active.

B*ggers up all the calculation on average speed, time/mile etc...

That's on my 405CX from running. On the Edge 800 from cycling... yeah the elevation data is screwy. A couple of days ago you could click on disable and although in graphic terms it still showed 'enabled' it would vary the elevation figure for the activity. Now... no clicky possible! :)
  • Thanks Jaycmoore. You have described exactly my 800 issues far better than I did!
