Cadence chart no longer shows cadence data.

I see that my last few runs no longer show data in the cadence chart. The cadence data is there and can be seen on the splits screen, but the chart for cadence is empty.

Same situation with cycling data. Monday or Tuesday I showed a co-worker my rides from the weekend and we went down the charts that were available. Uploaded an indoor training session last night, and this morning all cadence charts are empty.
Any one know how to get them back to the proper display?
  • I looked all of the way back, to when I first started using a foot pod. Turns out none of the workouts is now displaying cadence in the graph (even though cadence is given in the summary on the left side of the screen).
  • It has been reported that changing the activity type to Running or Cycling, as appropriate, is a workaround for the graph not displaying correctly.

    Hi,

I've been having the same issue from this feb. And today I found out that any previous graph from data saved, say, 6 months from now, is not being shown anymore.

So, by setting the activity as "Running" and "Race" I can see todays foot graph, but, ¿what can be done whin information stored in GC for the last 8-10 months? (with foot pod).

This is definitely a problem on Garmin Connect... ¿Will it be repaired anytime soon?

    Thanks!

This is how I fixed it:
Change the workout type to "Running" and it will display. If you pick any of the sub-categories under running, like "Street Running" it will not display.
  • Yes me too. None of my Cadence data is showing on any records going back 3 years. You can see everything else but not Cadence. Tried other browsers and other devices but all the same. So it's the web site and not users for sure.
  • Yeah, we know. Several members have posted a simple workaround above that you can use in a pinch.

I wish someone at Garmin would read this thread, alternatively where do we report the bug?

Thanks for the guidance, but I am reticent to change the activity type as when Garmin eventually fix the problem, all my activities will still be set to "Cycling". I can live with things now, but does anyone know if Garmin are actually working on this?
  • Turns out that the data files are now stored locally and not on the web site. To get the Cadence to show in Garmin Connect use Garmin Express to sync and don't upload through Garamin Connect. Found this on their FAQ. Just tried it for todays ride and Cadence now shows....

Thanks for binning 3 years worth of Cadence data Garmin, very customer friendly thing to do - numpties.
