When I try to change my resting heart rate and max heart rate in my training zones in Garmin Connect it will not save after i make the changes. Very annoying! Every other profile change I make such as weight, height, etc does save. Any reason why training zone heart rates won't save?
Select personal Information and then Heart Rate Zones. Switch on Custom Zones. Select each of the Zones and enter the heart rate values that you want (I took mine from the Garmin Connect website after temporarily entering the rest and max rates).
Select the back key to enter the data.
Go back to the Garmin website and the heart rate zones have been updated. I then sent them to my Garmin device without changing anything on my profile.
That will change the default heart settings, but it doesn't change the running heart settings which are the ones used for the Garmin training plans and the one used for most running watches. I tried changing each workout to other, to use the default training zone, but it then wouldn't transfer to my Forerunner 220.
Worked for me also. Garmin FR 410. Mannnnnnnnny Thanks. I was very frustrated, because I came back from a blood lactate test and I could not update my new HR Zones. Back in business.
I don't think you can expect a fix from Garmin at this point. It seems like they are trying to get the new Garmin Connect to work for the VivoFit users, and that is breaking things for existing users. I think once everyone is transitioned over to the new Garmin Connect (when it is done), lots of the problems people are seeing will just go away.
That said, as a temporary workaround, I wrote a web form that allows you to update your heart rate and power zones on Garmin Connect. Assuming you're using the ANT Agent and Communicator, you should be able to use the 'Send to Device' option to send them to your device.
