Hi!

I am experiencing a few problems lately with my Forerunner 305. When I uploads some runs on my Garmin Connect account, the time of my splits are correct, but the total ''Summary time'' does not add up according to my splits.

Anyone has some inputs?

Thank you for reading :)

I juuust saw that something like that has already been posted... Truly sorry.

Several of us are having this issue. It appears that garmin connect is uploading total activity time and not indicating/deducting time for the watch being stopped/paused. It's throwing off our stats. Someone in another thread has been going into the "full edit" mode and changing the time. I did that this afternoon for about 2 weeks worth of activities and it seems to work. Wish Garmin would fix the glitch, though. =/

    Thank you for the reply!

I make sense about Garmin Connect uploading the total activity time... I was really at a loss of why some of my training had the correct time and some other didn't... I did not make the connections of my pauses were the problem.

Thanks for the tip of the full edit mode... hoping this will be fixed soon! :)

    Hi,

Im glad I found this thread because I'd been struggling with the same issue myself!

Does anyone know how to fix this issue, or have any idea when it will be fixed?

    Thanks

Definitely something up with Garmin Connect. I too have seen my timings not add-up, now using elapsed time instead of moving time to calculate average. I thought this was my Edge 705 auto-pause not working, but I think it's actually a programming error in Garmin Connect. It doesn't agree with the average speed calculated on my Edge 705 screen, whereas it always used to. Also, I have noticed the timing graphs on some old activities showing big gaps due to this. When you run the activity through the Player function, the distance bar over-runs. Looks like Garmin must have made a software update and caused this bug. Someone from Garmin - please check this and correct it!
  • I have a similar issue, but not quite the same. When I stop the watch, for example because I tie my shoe laces, and restart it, Connect truncates my time and all charts at the point when I stopped the watch. The map show the entire run, though. I know that this is an issue with Connect, because Training Center and Strava both show charts for my entire run. This is very annoying. I can edit the time, but the charts remain truncated. When will this be fixed?
  • So glad I looked this up as I thought I was going crazy! Clearly it's an error with Garmin Connect and not with my device (which initially thought may be the problem). My issue is exactly as described by Prinzlmeisl above. I hope Garmin sorts this soon - it's really annoying. And obviously affects different devices, not just my old Forerunner 305.
