Poor gps track plot accuracy

I've got my FR620 set to 1 second recording and when looking at an exported tcx file it seems as if this is the case. I've got a trackpoint tag for every second.

However, when I look at the plotted track on the map of Garmin Connect it looks like the attached image. It's ~60 meters of running between the blue circles and let me tell you, I am not THAT quick ;)

So, my question is, why doesn't GC use all trackpoints available to produce a more accurate track on the map?

Edit: I see now that there seems to be more trackpoints used when not using the player on GC. The plot on the activity details page is a bit better but still not as good as it could be I feel.
  • Probably because of the size of the log file that would be created, though cheap memory is making that moot. And maybe more so now, the cpu load trying to write continuously would overrun the processor, but that too can be overcome, but at what price to us, the consumers?
