I just purchased the Garmin GPSMAP 62. I took it out of the box, put some brand new batteries in the unit. It started just fine. I plugged it into my PC with the provided USB cord. USB Cable Detected. Would you like to go to mass storage? I highlight "YES" to blue and click enter. I then get a screen with "Garmin" on it and a connection cable icon under that for a few. Then the connection cable vanishes and it goes to the same map as when I start it up regularly. However, it's not seen by my computer nor are there any prompts from my computer to install any sort of drivers. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Have I missed a step of some sort? The manual is very vague on the process here or on any troubleshooting methods.
