Bought a BMW R 1200 GS TE which is already prepared for navigation, just got to buy the unit i was told as it didnt arrive on it. Ok, so first it has a handlebar operating control, cool. So i find out that it's only a Garmin Nuvi 660 branded by BMW as Motorrad Navigator, So, buy and slot it in and it works.......NOT!
Yes it would work but not through the handlebar control, you have to go back to touching the screen, Why! Whats different with the unit that BMW supply for £130 more!!, that you can't buy the 660 from someone else. can anyone throw any light on this and whether there is a get-around.
