Course not viewable

I created a course: http://connect.garmin.com/course/5696506

While the preview of the course is available, when selecting to view the details the map displays but the course is never shown, all you see is the loading icon........

I've tested this in Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer.

I'm having a similar issue. When I hit the save button after creating a course it just shows loading and the spinning wheel. It's very frustrating and others seem to be having the same issue too. You'd have thought someone at Garmin would monitor these posts and alert users of known issues and what they're doing to fix them.

Ok at least I'm not the only one then. How long was your course? I created one that was 40km (24 miles) long, thought it may have something to do with that....
  • It seems to occur only on recently created course. I can go back to those I created a month or two ago and they display fine.

I've been trying to get an adequate response from the Garmin support team. All they suggested to start with was to try another Browser. Not a very helpful suggestion since I use Mac iOS and Windows - two of the most popular browsers on the planet! I replied to them asking for a more substantive answer last Friday but so far no further response. It's really pathetic for a company the size of Garmin. I've already started using other websites for course creation and analysis. I wonder how long it'll be before someone brings out a killer competitor to the Forerunner/Edge series?

Agreed, this is not the first similar issue I've encountered. Coupled with their lack of presence in my home country and the subsequent challenge of getting repairs sorted I am less impressed.

That being said, none of this changes the fact that they have broken a critical piece of functionality that a large number of people rely on.

same here. It's almost not possible to create courses and transfer them to the device. I've tried a lot of ways, saving some times, closing browser, different browsers and a very few times it worked - but I can't reproduce it.

  • Hi

This is clearly an issue with the Connect site, but Garmin seem to be quite coy about it.

Very frustrating for all Garmin users. We should be getting better support from the company who, after all, have taken large sums of money from us for their devices.
