Elevation gain not recognized

My Forerunner 110 hasn't recorded any elevation gain on my last three runs. Is there something I can do? It has been set in GPS mode, and my course is marked on Garmin Connect. It shows time/pace/distance/calories burned. Everything except for elevation gain. It worked earlier in the week, now it's not anymore.I'm confused:(
Any help would be appreciated.

I have noticed the same thing. All information from my Forerunner 10 is being transmitted to Garmin Connect except elevation. Is there a problem with Garmin Connect?

I'm not sure how to do that? Can you help?
  • From Garmin Connect (the web site not the app), open the Activity.
In the bottom left you should get a box called Additional Information.
This should display a pic of your Device Forerunner 110. (Mine displays Edge 510)
Below that there should be Elevation Corrections and an option of Enabled / Disabled.
'Enabled' is supposed to take surveyed map data to calculate elevation, rather than your device.
Click Enabled (even if it already shows Enabled - there is currently a bug) and the screen should refresh.
    Has the Elevation Gain changed?

There is no option "elevation corrections" on my screen. I have the Device shown, but I can not click on anything under Additional Information. It just shows "device: garmin forerunner 10" and "summary data: original"
Any other ideas? or should I return it? I've only had it since Christmas. It charted the first 5 or so runs, but has not charted my elevation since...
  • KATIED.... the forerunner 10 doesn't have a barometric sensor and I don't think it even tries to calculate elevation from the gps. If that's true then likely the Garmin Connect web page doesn't show those buttons as they are irrelevant for your device.

I would think that Garmin Connect will show the elevation based on their map database, but maybe they don't. At any rate, you should call Garmin Support if your think something is wrong. As here on this forum, we are only USER's. Sometimes we know the answers, but sometimes we don't.
