I'm trying to plot a route in France using Garmin Connect that involves going through a tunnel, but when I put a marker on the other side of the tunnel, the planner plots a route around the tunnel to get to the other side. Anyone know how to get around this?
Try changing map providers (on the map there is a dropdown to allow you to select Google, Bing, and OpenStreetMaps). Sometimes, due to the way that Garmin Connect interacts with the map provider, routes are prohibited when they should not be.
If a different map doesn't work, just temporarily un-check "Stay on Roads", click on the other side of the tunnel, re-check "Stay on Roads" and continue mapping. I had the same problem mapping courses on the North Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway (25 tunnels) and this worked for me.
