Large route seems to corrupt

I have created a reasonably large route on Garmin Connect, and it's got severe problems.
1. When I created it, it was 205 miles (which is what it should be). I then changed the speed and resaved it, and it said it was 166 miles. Then I re-opened it and it was 191 miles. I reopened it again and then it was 197.55 miles.
2. It won't show the elevations
3. Whenever I try to open it, it never seems to open properly. Firefox says that it is "Waiting for maps.googleapis.com...." and it never seems to finish opening properly

I'm assuming that it's overloaded something. Can anybody advise if there is a limit to the size of routes that can be planned with Garmin Connect?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Tried to create a 160-180km route across Wales and it goes totally wrong when I try and save it. The KM markers go crazy, the distance reduces and it never loads. Similarly the elevation disappears.
