GC named my activity without me doing anything

Odd bug yesterday...

I uploaded my Edge 510 ride to the GC mobile iOS app via bluetooth. The GC app had its usual 'Untitled' activity title.
I then went to the GC site via Chrome on the same iOS phone for the purpose of naming the activity.
However, the activity already had a name: 'Rundle Mall Cycling'.
I did a Quick Edit, changed it to my own ride name, but on clicking Finish it reverted to 'Rundle Mall Cycling'.
Checking the GC mobile app, it did its usual Downloading, and updated the activity name to 'Rundle Mall Cycling'.
Later, from my laptop at home I renamed the activity and this time it stuck.

Rundle Mall is a shopping street about 1km from my activity start point. I have never used Rundle Mall in an activity title.

Is this significant?
  • I noticed this yesterday too. I haven't renamed mine yet. I suspect it was something to do with the maintenance they were doing.

Along with that issue I've found that the tracks for my rides are no longer displayed and the map centres on Kansas City (which is not overly useful when the ride is in South Australia). I've just submitted a support request for that.
