Garmin Nuvi 2595 keeps restarting into usb mode?

Recently my Garmin Nuvi 2595 keeps restarting in USB mode when connected to the car.

When I input directions and start driving, it goes for about a few minutes and then it restarts, and puts it into USB mode. Then sometimes it will then restart again resuming where the directions left off and then restarting again into USB mode.

Also, it seems to not recognize that the device is connected to the car? Whenever I click the traffic icon, it tells me to make sure that the power cable is connected. However, I know that power cable is connected because the battery sign shows a charging sign.

Any help would be appreciated.

another point... I have purchased and refurbished eleven nuvi 2595 for friends and family (preowned units can be purchased by $25 plus $10 a new battery and perhaps $3 for a suction cup - traffic charging wires are very expensive, so only purchase LMT units with wire - currently I adapt the wire for pluggin into USB ports in the cars - must be 2Amp) Nuvis and garmin (up to date) maps are much more reliable and precise in routing than google maps or whatever.

All in all, family and friends are happy. And updating them is very easy cloning device to device...
