Time in HR Zones (again)

Former Member
Former Member
I know this has been brought up before, but I can set heart rate zones in my Forerunner, but then in Garmin Connect I simply can't see a way to then view how much time I spent in each zone. I can see an average HR reading.

If I'm missing something basic then could someone point me in the right direction. If not, surely this is a fairly basic feature, and it seems slightly pointless to have the zones in your device (and also you can add them in your Connect profile settings) if you can't then view the information in Garmin Connect later.

Thanks
  • Thanks a lot for your help Don. Unfortunately, my 910 communicates via Bluetooth to my MacBook Air. There is not physical connection between the two. The way I see it, the Garmin Training Center requires a physical connection.

    Hello Yxpers,

    No physical connection required.
I load my FR310XT using ANT same as your 910. If ANT will not work then
you can manually import 4 file types. HST, GPX, TCX, FIT, plus other stuff.

Find the folder that has your files from the 910 and make a shortcut to the desktop. Makes for easy access.
Training Center top line click > File > Import to current user account > History....New window opens > Look in > Desktop > pick your folder.

If it comes up empty just go to the bottom of the window to > Files of type > and pick FIT for the 910 > Open.

The imported file opens into a new folder under the existing folder "Imported Activities".

What's confusing is that this functionality is there in Garmin's Training Center. In fact, if they had brought TC into the Cloud, instead of trying to invent something new, a lot of the feature requests would be eliminated, it seems to me.
  • Yes that might have been nice :)

I'm hoping that once they have sorted the many teething problems with the new connect that they will look at bringing across some of the valuable features in TC - especially some of the workout creation features not available in Connect.
