Garmin Connect Login fails

I'm using Safari 5.1.7 for Windows on my Windows 7 PC. I can sign in to Garmin sites no problem EXCEPT for Garmin Connect. My login starts to connect. My user name comes up then as the page is loading it fails to complete and kicks me back to the sign in screen. I can sign in with IE no problem. The Safari login used to work. Then it crashed my computer and now I can't sign in using Safari for windows. I've re-installed Safari, cleaned my registry, cleaned out cookies etc., Re-set Safari, updated my Flash player all to no avail. Suggestions?
Well, it's still a mystery. My login using Safari still fails while it works fine using IE. I think something on my computer was altered by the "crash" while using the Garmin Connect site. I can't figure out what that artifact is or where it is located. It seems very strange that I can login to all the Garmin sites using Safari but NOT to Garmin Connect, ironically the only site I actually need.

I have been using IE to log in and upload my runs. Due to the current crisis regarding IE I don't want to use it until a patch has been applied.
I don't really want to install another browser. Any thoughts on getting Safari to login in properly?
