Garmin 62s topo & satellite & road navigation

Can you install and view more than one type of map at a time? I'd like to use satellite images with topo 24. I'd also like to use my unit for navigating road trips, and then locating caves that I know the coordinates to. Any input on which map systems to purchase? (ex: subscription or purchase outright)

You can have different types of maps on a single 62s. You just need to activate the ones you need for the task. Road navigation, generally just by themselves, topo can be superimposed on aerial, you need to play with the transparency of the maps. Check out TopofusionPro. It has a learning curve, but that's what I use for this purpose.
