Windows 8, my 310XT and Strava

I'm trying to find where in Windows8 do the gpx files get stored when I load to connect.garmin.com from a FR310XT. I did a search on my PC and see no .gpx files anywhere. I checked the forums and only found for Vista, XP/Win7. Nothing for Window 8. Also, I'd prefer to use Strava to save my data versus the Garmin site. I''m unable to load anything to Strava (before or after loading to connect.garmin.com). Any other strava users out there have this problem? My strava see's my FR310XT but will not pull data from it. Almost wish I would have just bought another FR305...seemed much easier to upload to other sites.

    The 310XT uses FIT format.
The ANT stores the 310XT files in a hidden folder so you need to use advanced options and search in hidden files and folders.
I do not use Strava but open Ant Agent and check your device settings. Uncheck the Auto Erase option. Maybe your 310 is empty and that is why Strava cannot load anything?

I do not have Win8 but here is the WinXP path. It might give you some clues.

Documents & Settings > Folder with Your Name > Application Data > GARMIN > Devices > Folder with 10 digit number > Activities (this is a complete archive of all the FIT files from your 310 and all other Forerunner models using ANT)
  • have the same problem and not easier with the Garmin Express. Seems to be a problem detecting the ANT+...frustrating!
