My 310xt is driving me nuts - please help!

I have historically had no issues uploading to Garmin Connect and Training Peaks via ANT+. Recently, however, it continues to record workouts, but refuses to upload.

The device is recognized and properly paired, but the workouts apparently cannot be seen (even though I can pull them up in the history). I have done a hard reset twice - lost the workouts, but it worked again for a couple of workouts before stopping again.

As best I can tell, even after pressing stop and turning the device off, when I turn it on again it still seems to see the previously stopped workout as still in progress. By way of an example, I just came back from a short run, stopped the timer, turned off the device and showered before trying to upload. When I turned it back on the screen still showed the time, distance and pace for the run and history shows it as an "activity in progress". I pressed the soft reset - this cleared the workout and put it into history, but it still wasn't recognized via the ANT+.

Any suggestions? This is driving me nuts!

Thanks.
  • After your workout, you need to press Stop to stop the workout, and you must hold down the Lap button for 5 seconds to save the activity. This is covered in the product documentation.

If you power the watch down without saving the activity, you risk losing or corrupting your workout data. Often, when you turn the watch back on it will show your last workout. Even if the workout appears there, it may get corrupted. The ANT+ Agent will often be able to download the activity from the watch, but it will fail to upload the activity to Garmin Connect. This can also prevent other, more recent, activities from being able to upload as well.
