Getting an exact time/locatoin using Edge Touring GPX file

Hi,
I was knocked off my bike while out earlier today. Fortunately no really serious damage to myself or my bike but it was intentional so I plan to report it to the police. The coward driver in question failed to stop and I couldn't get the number plate so I'm hoping one of the CCTV cameras at the shops just up the road from where it happened will have got the car. I can get a time down to a 10-15 minute window but it's a reasonably busy stretch of road and I'm guessing several silver cars will have passed in that timeframe.
Is there any way to get an exact time that I was at a certain location using the GPX file? Knowing how far into the ride only helps narrow it down as I paused it quite a bit before the accident (happened right at the end of my ride, about 3 miles from home.)
Thanks

Sure. Open the GPX file from your unit in BaseCamp/MapSource or other software. I'd then look for the spot in your track (or whatever Garmin calls it for Cycling models) where your speed is zero (i.e. you're stopped). The track properties will show the date/time/coordinates and possibly other useful info.

I do this fairly frequently when I've stopped somewhere etc but never created a waypoint but want to do so after the fact (sometimes years after).

PS: I did this morning with a 3 year-old track. I'm considering making a trip back to the area and wanted to locate some stops I'd made.

Awesome, thanks. BaseCamp worked fine and I can get the time down to the second.
