I was given a used Garmin 405cx. The person that gave it to me does not know how to dis associate the device from his Garmin connect account. If I upload data through the ant it want his user name and password for his account. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You
AFIK The only place a device gets registered to a specific user is in myGarmin https://my.garmin.com/
If the previous owner registered it there, then there is a link to de-register it. However I don't think GC looks for that. Are you also using the same ant agent installation on their PC/Mac? I would think the issue is in the ant agent configuration.
Ant agent, from what I've heard puts a copy of the activity on the PC/Mac that it is installed on. If you can find the activity file you should be able to manually upload it till you figure out this other issue.
If you figure it out, let us know. I've seen others post similar issues, but none return to tell us what fixed it. Call Garmin support too, they should be able to get you going.
