The oregon 650 is represented to have bluetooth connectivity. The manual discusses pairing with other devices. I have tried to pair with my Aokatec bluetooth adapter for my Nikon. Called support. The person could not get an answer after check 3 times with others while I was on hold. She later called me back. I missed the call, but her voice message impllied that there is no real bluetooth capability. Is it true that the unit happens to use a limited implementation to ONLY to communicate to Garmin'd devices???? These is NO REAL bluetooth functionality?
I tried pairing to my computer and android bluetooth - no luck and support could not help.
The next related question is related to connectivity to a SMARTPHONE. Is the on phone support an Iphone? I don't see and implementation for Androids. Where is basecamp for the Android. If it only for Iphones why advertise smartphone bluetooth connectivity.
Bottom line - How do I use the oregon 650 Bluetooth???
