old version of Android app (apk)?

Good evening,

I was lucky enough to get a Garmin Edge 810 for Christmas, but that means I didn't get a new phone, so I was hoping to connect it to my HTC Wildfire running Android 2.2.1 (Froyo). Unfortunately, the Google Play Store says that the Garmin Connect app is incompatible with this phone. Is there somewhere I can get an older version of the app that will load onto this phone so I can use the online features of my new Edge before I can afford to update the phone as well?

Thank you. I guess I better look into Cyanogenmod in the short term, and more new hardware when birthday time comes around.
