Nuvi 2597 brightness changes to 20% on its own

brand new nuvi 2597 - i manually changed brightness to 70% and after less than one minute it changes back to 20% on its own. Why is that? it is fully charged and it does not matter if it is plugged in or not.

To save power. There's probably a backlight timeout or power saving setting that needs to be adjusted.

Have you tried the suggestions in the post just above yours?

If you have then explain exactly what is happening.
