When sharing on Facebook, respect Metric settings

I choose to work in metric, so it is disconcerting when I post on Facebook that the post is converted to imperial (or statute as Garmin seem to insist on calling it). If I wanted to share in Imperial, I would choose imperial in my settings. For Example:

Imperial above, though my settings are in Metric. This shouldn't be too hard to sort.

Another vote to have this "fixed".

+3 .. annoying and confusing to those who don't speak "Imperial". Who wants to know how many breaths it takes to run 4 bowshots in 2013?

Same here, and im gonna sell my item as soon as they won't fix it in few days. Riddicoulus!!!
  • I just tried it again there - it seems it is now fixed? The post came up with KM instead of miles - still no map though - maybe its coming with the new changes I see flagged when I log in.

Can't believe this still isnt 'fixed'. There is no point including a snapshot of the activity if it's not going to be in the format that friends and family will easily understand.

It's also fairly poor website design to have the function to change the website display from Imperial to Metric in small writing at the top right corner, it should be easier for people who are unfamiliar with the site to find. Better yet, why not just let me choose the default format for my own activities? Considering 99% of people viewing my activities will want to see it in the same unit measurement as I would.

    Another +1
At least Classic (pre 'modern') had a 'view in metric' option.
The right way to do it would be that a track is shown using the units setting of its owner, but anyone viewing can change to their preferred units.

The post once shared appears to be fixed however, clicking on the link opens the Garmin activity report in the opposite unit of measure and does not accept changes. Example - share a workout in Statue format - click on the link and data appears in Metric. There is a link at the top to switch the unit of measure to 'metric' again and no option to switch to Statute. Getting closer but still broken.
