Out of memory

I have a Garmin 680 that i had no issues for years until i had to insert a 4G sd card because the new maps wont fit in the original place.

It loads the maps fine.

My last route planing was from Kitchener,On to Knoxville,Tn A distance about 700 miles.

Before i had no problem with the route calculations even when i planned a route all the way to California.

After the map upgrade it could not calculate the route, it starts to calculate and then after awhile it stops and displays =not enough memory.

I cant find anything after a few hours of search .

Any advice would be appreciated .
  • Empty your recent finds folder, if that doesn't create enough space, hook it up to your PC
and find the "Voices" folder. Remove all voice u don't use, eatch language consists out of
two files. U can allways reload the voices with help of the web updater.
  • I'm not sure that will help. This error occurs on nuvis when trying to calculate a route that is either too long and/or too complex and has nothing to do with the amount of 'user memory' available. I suspect the OP will need to break his route into two to allow the calculation to take place.

He allready planned a longer routes, and i get this problem a view times a month, moste of the time emptying
the GPX folder is enough, some times it also needs a hard reset, and it will fix the problem.....
  • Thank you for your input. Will give it a try ang go from there.
