GPSMAP541s Card problem

I just bought the GPSMP 541s and it came with a bluechart g2 vision card for New Zealand, the unit has US G2 pre-installed. The vision card works in homeport and I have downloaded to another SD card a route from Homeport.
It does not matter which of the cards I put into the device it always states ' Insert card' or 'card needed'. I have removed and inserted them many times with no change. Anyone have a solution please? I asked Garmin support but have heard zero back other than an email confirmation of my request, actually, requests as I have sent them 3 in the last week!

Call Garmin Support...... http://www.garmin.com/us/support/ The phone numbers at the right of the page and you can change countries if needed.
