Activity to Garmin Connect failed due to server error

All seems to work fine during transfer (as seen on garmin and on computer screen), but error message comes up near time of completion: "Activity to Garmin Connect failed due to server error."

I've seen numerous posts about corrupt .fit file. Is this the answer? How to locate and remove this corrupt file is not intuitive.

Please help, so I can transfer the numerous workouts piled up in my Garmin 910XT.

I am having the same problem since the 30th of December, did you manage to solve?
