I'm not sure, but I can only guess that the admins noted that the captchas had no impact. The main reason you're seeing fewer spam posts is that new moderators have been added. These moderators are deleting…

What a nuisance all this garbage must. ~ What was the reasoning for removing the "Captcha?" (Too many complaints, or did it actually make things worse?)

I'm not sure, but I can only guess that the admins noted that the captchas had no impact. The main reason you're seeing fewer spam posts is that new moderators have been added. These moderators are deleting the bulk of the spam in a more timely manner than I ever could, since a lot of it is posted at around 2:00 AM my time (UTC -05:00).

Could be something I said about the way WE do it?

AFAIK, the Capatchas were just a pain when I wanted to make a post. Half the time I couldn't read them so got them wrong.
Good riddance to them.
