Bug: Send workouts to device (305) setting workouts to wrong date on watch

Hi,

I reset my Forerunner305 (power + mode), then went to the calendar view and click send workouts to device. The system requested I update the GCP to 4.1.0.0 and so I did.
The website says "79 workouts will be sent to your device. From: 2013, Nov 03 To: 2014, Mar 01" as expected and completes the transfer.
When I check the workouts on my watch, they are all there in the right order but they are assigned to the wrong days! The first one on 1/29, the last one on 5/26.

I have tried several variation of the procedure several times from both Firefox and Safari:
- Reset + send workouts
- Send workouts several times in a row

But no dice, the dates are all wrong.

Any idea/help appreciated.

    I have been trying to troubleshoot so here is some more information.

    I am using a Macbook Pro. OS X Version 10.7.5.
    Safari is Version 6.1 (7537.71)
    Firefox is Version 25.0

    I uninstalled the GCP from my system following support.garmin.com/.../case.faces, checked it was gone from Firefox and reinstalled. => Still the same incorrect dates.
    I installed Garmin WebUpdater to double check my 305 had the latest software and it did. Still, I reinstalled the Device Software just in case. Tried send workouts again and got the same incorrect dates. I then reset the watch (power + mode) and sent the workouts, and got the same incorrect dates again.

    At this point, there is nothing else I can think of trying so please, help.

  • Having exactly the same problem here since the Garmin Communicator update :confused:
  • Are you letting your devices get a satellite lock? You may have to take it outside to get a decent signal. Once you acquire the satellites you should get the correct time and date.

    edit.... I may have misunderstood your posts, so this probably doesn't apply
  • It's only happened to me in the last couple of days. prior to the update I used the calendar feature all the time to plan workouts and they always popped up on the correct day on my device but now it seems they are not downloaded to the device correctly. The satellite isn't an issue. The workouts are there but with incorrect dates assigned.

    Voiceresponse, thanks for chiming in. The clock and time on the watch is correct. I have done over 15 runs since I reported the issue 2 weeks ago.
    I also launched Garmin Training Center on my Mac to send a new scheduled workout to the watch and it showed up with the correct date.

    I contacted Garmin support directly and dealt with 2 distinct reps. They both told me that they could not reproduce the issue with their watch. The second one accessed my account and said he was not able to reproduce either using my data. He told me to call customer support directly though I have yet to do that.
    Until Thevarc reported having the same issue, I felt l was the only one with the issue. Now, I wonder if other 205/305 owners are experiencing the problem as well.

    I have the same issue - Forerunner 305 / Mac OSX10.9 / Same error with Chrome & Safari. Plugin Version 4.10
    Dates are shifted forward approximately 12 weeks when passing workout from Calendar to device.
    Importing completed workouts from device to Connect works correctly with date and time correctly recorded.

    Same issue with the 305. 310xt works perfectly, but the 305 still has this issue. Please either fix or post a workaround

    OK, as of today, I cannot even send my scheduled workouts to the watch anymore!
    I have 7 weeks of scheduled workouts or 42 workouts total. The system sends 32 workouts to the watch (it somehow includes many copies of the same workout but that is a little inconvenience I have been fine living with before) and then stops with some error. The watch lists those workouts under Training/Workouts/Advanced but there is no submenu like before, just the workouts...

    Any help would be appreciated

    Alright, good news is that I can upload all my scheduled workouts for the next 5-6 weeks. The dates are 93 days in the future as of this morning. As I said in my previous post, it is a definitely still a small inconvenience but I can live with that.

    It doesn't look like there's much activity on this thread sadly but, just for the record, I am also experiencing this problem with my Forerunner 305. All workouts are being transferred to my watch 69 days too late. I have two 305s, I am seeing the exact same behaviour on both devices.

    Personally, I would call it a massive pain in the a** rather than a small inconvenience as I have an 8 week training plan in my calendar and now when I head out I can't simply select "Today's" from the Workouts menu - instead, for each run I need to know which of the 32 workouts I'm supposed to be doing that day.

    Don't suppose anyone's had any more information through from Garmin yet?
