Corrupted .fit file?

Hello everyone,

I have a running activity on my Forerunner 210 that does not seems to be recognized by the upload feature.

I can see the .fit file but when I try to upload it manually, I get the message "Some activities could not be created"

I did some research and thought that the file might be corrupted. I searched for repair tools but the only ones I found are for PCs and I have mac.

I attached the .fit file to this message.

If anyone can either repair the file or point me to a site where I can download a repair tool for mac, I would really appreciate.

Thank you,
Marc

    Sorry Marc,

The file you loaded has no usable data. The only thing the Fit File Repair Tool could recover was calories = 1351.

    Thank you for trying Don.

Do you know what could have caused the corruption of the file? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future?

    Thanks,
    Marc

I do not have a 210 so I am just guessing here.
Some units get all screwed up when they are started before they get a good satellite lock or even moved around while searching.
My FR310XT is like that. I always put it on the windshield or someplace stationary while I get ready.
Some units need to get all the stored tracks cleared after making a corrupt file.
My 705 is like that. The Laps folder must always be empty before starting a new ride.
