TCX file....normalized power....where is it ?

I noticed when interfacing my garmin data TCX file with my video file using Dashware that the TCX file only contains Average power......it does not include normalized power !

Am I missing it ? Why is it not there ? Its there when you look at split data on garmin connect, but its not included in the TCX file which is used when synchronizing data with video.
  • Normalized power is a algorithm that uses data from other sensors and data. It might even be somewhat arbitrary among the different sites how this value is calculated as all it's doing is trying to make power relate a little more to perceived effort and other stuff. But that's just AFAIK, I don't use a power meter so it's not a number I've looked into more than casually. It might be in the .fit file if your device creates one, but I don't know that for a fact either.
