Hi, I am new to this forum, but I thought I might get some help. I recently purchased garmin Oregon 650, everything was perfect till I added new map from a friend who has a older device. I have copied these three image files (gmapbmap.img , gmapsupp.img , gmaptz.img) into garmin folder. However garmin folder already had these files so I did not replace them but add them to it. Since then I am not able start my gps, it stars up, but then it freezes - game over :( , also doesn't respond to usb connection, so I cannot delete those files which I copied in. Tried the master reset, screen comes up if I want to reset it, but buttons don't respond and unit freezes. I would appreciate any help, thanks.
Now the issue is that unless you renamed those files they will have overwritten anything that was there, and deleteing them will cause other issues. Did you back up the files before you started tampering, if so just copy the originals back.
