NUVI 255 Satnav - after map update turns are prompted after the turning/late/delay !

Hi Folks,

Trying to troubleshoot this for a friend with a Garmin 255 satnav unit, he recently updated the maps from EU 2012 to UK + Ireland 2013 -
He's reporting that the unit is prompting him to turn AFTER the turning itself ! Consistently . . . and it didn't do this on the previous maps he had
installed that were just outdated.

I suggested maybe atmospherics but he's not convinced as this has only been an issue since the updates.

Are there any things I can suggest he checks or is it a possibility that the maps are too much for his older unit? Hardware issue? Just thinking out loud,
any suggestions welcome :)

Thank you very much, I've just emailed him a link to that in case he wants to back up first, sounds like he's going to reset and try it on the way home tonight so if I've not heard back by tomorrow I'll alert the authorities lol . ..
