Nuvi 3598LM - Drive Into Grey Map!

Hi, I'm on my second Nuvi 3598LM due to the same problem. Everything starts off ok but then I can end up with the map no longer updating (and those parts now grey) but the unit has not locked...it still moves, navigates etc. This is a replacement model from Garmin and only its second trip. Does anyone know anything about it. Its all up to date too. The only way to get the map back is by doing a proper shut-down and restart. I tried the full rest on the previous model I had but to no avail so haven't bothered on this one as I know it wont work. I have the unit connected to my iPhone via bluetooth and have Smart Link app loaded and running/connected. Its on the main charger unit for the car too.

This forum over here has a sub-forum especially for nuvi's ->http://forums.gpsreview.net/ I think you'll get more help if you post there. This forum is geared toward garmins fitness devices. If you haven't already, at least get with garmin support and let them know the replacement isn't working right.
